What does refurbished mean?
When you purchase a refurbished cargo bike from us, we promise that every part of the bike has been inspected with the utmost precision—even down to three decimal places on the ball bearings. 😉
What we don’t do is replace parts unnecessarily. For example, if the pedals are still in good condition but show some signs of use, we leave them as they are. We believe it’s not sustainable to replace parts just for cosmetic reasons. However, if a component is no longer functional, we’ll definitely replace it.
Checklist
We inspect the bikes at over 50 different points. For instance, we always test the battery. The battery’s condition is clearly indicated on the battery itself, so you know exactly what you’re buying.
Warranty
We offer a standard six-month warranty (unless explicitly stated otherwise) on the frame, hub, battery, and motor. Want an extended warranty? That’s possible, and the additional cost is listed alongside the bikes in our webshop.
Warranty conditions
If something happens to the frame, battery, motor, or hub within the warranty period, the parts will be replaced free of charge. However, labor costs will apply at a reduced rate of €27.50 per hour, excluding VAT. If travel costs are necessary, the same rate of €27.50 per hour, excluding VAT, will apply. We do not charge for fuel costs.
Keep in mind that your bike may be out of service for a while during a (potential) warranty claim. The component manufacturer will determine whether you qualify for warranty coverage. For example, if you’ve tampered with the motor yourself, the warranty will be void. Warranty is also void in cases of intentional damage, as assessed by the manufacturer.
